In the intensely competitive arena of interactive entertainment, it's common for fresh competitors to disappear as quickly as they burst on to the landscape.

But the latest Battlefield is aiming to change that.

It's the newest release in a long-standing military shooter line frequently described as a more realistic response to Call of Duty.

The title has not quite been able to equal its most famous rival in terms of units sold or players, but indicators suggest the new installment could reduce the distance.

A preview weekend giving gamers a opportunity to try out the title not long ago achieved milestones, and the buzz leading up to its debut has been massive.

Yet the endeavor is nevertheless a major gamble for developer its creators, which has according to sources spent vast amounts of dollars developing it.

Reporters have spoken to a number of the developers to discover how they hope it will succeed.

Responding To Past Shortcomings

The game arrives after the heels of the sci-fi the previous game, released in the past to a negative reception it had difficulty to overcome.

"We most likely would not be able to build and design the latest entry lacking the learnings we had in the last release," the manager tells us.

Among those lessons was to get fans involved early, and the studio launched exclusive player trials in recent months.

One more absent component from the previous installment was a story mode, which has been reintroduced in this version.

The UK studio project head Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual tasked with "guaranteeing those levels are as entertaining and engaging as possible for the gamers."

Despite claims that the size of the title had challenged the multiple teams partnering across continents to develop the game, Fas is upbeat about the process.

"Partnering with different perspectives, varied experiences, it's a really engaging setting to be part of on a regular basis," he shares.

"This entire method has been a fresh take but also truly thrilling because we are working with people from internationally."

Regarding the pressure on the team, Fas says: "There is demand but also it's exciting.

"We're dealing with a big venture. It's probably the largest that most of us have before participated in."

Emerging Talent Contributes New Insight

That's certainly true of no less than an individual staff, visual designer Vlad Kokhan.

The recent hire makes the visual ambiance that define the atmosphere, feel, and focus of the single-player campaign.

Vlad undertook an internship at Criterion before securing a job with them, and currently operates with reduced hours while concluding his digital arts qualification at Bournemouth University.

The developer states he's a long-standing fan of the franchise, and recollects enjoying the previous game of the line at a buddy's place when he was in his youth.

To be on it currently, as his first career position, "is hard to believe as actual."

"It's truly crazy seeing the advertising all around," he shares.

"Understanding that I've put my individual work into the project is truly dreamlike."

Release Predictions and Long-Term Plans
