The First Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox continues to plan to draw people in with strong games on its premier subscription.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
